your DE filter

Get to know your filter.

Periodically check your o-rings for leakage.  Make sure you always re-charge your filter after every backwash to prevent damage to your grids and manifold inside the system. Failing to do so will result in a collapse and will allow debris to pass through the filter and circulate back into the pool. This causes de to leave white power residue at the bottom of your pool floor. Annual filter cleanout is necessary to remove oil and debris buildup plus a chance to inspect the filter for any repairs.

**Reminder** Filtration alone cannot keep the water clean and clear, chemical balancing is very important, it keeps the swimmers and equipment safe.
